About Bastrop Housing Authority

Bastrop Housing Authority offer Public Housing and Housing Choice Vouchers but we are only accepting applications for our public housing program.

We are accepting applications for public housing and the estimated wait is 1 to 1 ½ years depending on vacancies.

Unfortunately, the waiting list for HCV has been closed since 2006 and individuals on the list before it closed are still waiting for assistance.

Our services cover City of Bastrop and within 10 miles of city limits, if it does not cross into another Housing Authority's jurisdiction.

They do not have Section 8 vouchers, that program will be closed to apply for, for several years. You can apply for Public Housing and be put on to a waiting list. If you are in Bastrop you can stop by the office at 502 Farm St. hours of operation are M-Th 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. If you are interested in applying and live outside of Bastrop you can call them to request an application.
